Background

CellaVision's website is their most important external channel for communicating and strengthening the brand. It is also central to the company being able to achieve its big vision – to digitize all manual microscopy worldwide. Analog microscopy is still the biggest competitor to CellaVision's digital solutions.

The old platform was perceived as difficult to handle and did not meet the needs that exist to reach the goals. A preliminary study was carried out which clearly pointed towards a retake and a new supplier. Odd Hill was selected in a tender process with several other actors involved.

Clear and appealing design with a premium feel

CellaVision's new website should feel more premium to users, while at the same time it must not gravitate too much towards the cold and clinical. The focus has been on creating a clear and well-balanced design that makes it easy for CellaVision's target groups to navigate and find the site. An important part of the assignment consisted of giving the visual branding a major overhaul and a "digital" lift. The existing brand manual was not adapted for the web and needed to be supplemented and modernized. An important work to create conditions for the design work.

Style Guide

Ease of use in focus

CellaVision has many target groups – internal users, customers, distributors, students and various stakeholders. A user-friendly and easy-to-navigate interface helps them all quickly find what they are looking for. Whether it's registering for a course, finding a point of contact, IR information or downloadable documents. With a new improved page structure and clear entrances, it is easy to navigate around the new website. Not least for mobile users.

Good UX even for internal users

Even the interface that CellaVision's internal users log into is user-friendly and easy to work with. There is also a clear module concept where the editor can add different sections to a page. The modules can then be easily moved around with drag'n drop. It gives the editor great flexibility to create new landing pages.

"The editorial interface is a game changer for us. It's intuitive, easy to use, flexible and saves a lot of time."

Integration with the learning platform Docebo

exciting part of CellaVision's new website is the seamless integration with Docebo. When you log in to the website, you also log in to Docebo and get access to material that is unique to your user role – employee, end user, trainer or distributor.

IR pages with integration to Modular finance

The new IR section was launched as a first step in spring 2022. It is integrated with Modular Finance and their tools for managing press releases and IR-related content.
